Sugar Land Rated #17 Safest City in America

In a recent report ranking 397 cities, Sugar Land rated the 17th safest city in America in 2008. The report uses six different statistics to make its overall ranking, and found Sugar Land to have a crime rate 68.64% below the national average. Read more about it here.

Sugar Land Tour Highlights Historic Homes

Those interested in exploring the historic sites of old Sugar Land are welcome to the next organized walk on Saturday, September 5th. The monthly walk, hosted by former mayor Bill Little and local historian Bruce Kelley, will begin at 9 A.M. Walkers will meet at the Lakeview Auditorium, located at the corner of Wood Street and Second Avenue. Read more about it here.
